I bought the Dell Axim X5 400MHz hand held PDA from dell in 2001. I use this product daily. This is a very nice item for the time that I made the purchase. The screen clarity is high and backlight is not limited at all. I use this to sync with my desktop PC at work. I keep all my contacts, tasks, and emails updated on both my PC & my PDA. This is very helpful to have your information in both places. The PDA is Microsoft based so it has the Pocket versions of Excel, Word, and Outlook. You can compose email messages, reply to them or delete them and it will all be updated when you sync. If you're setup for a wireless connection, you can do that real time. I don't have this feature.
Having this product for 7 years now, the only problem I've experienced is an error message constantly that my backup battery needs replacing. This message box can be cancelled out but every time I turn my PDA on, I get this message. Regardless of the battery age I can't get rid of this message. I've researched online and can't find a fix. This is very annoying especially if you use it as often as I do.
Considering the time I've had this item, I give it two thumbs up!
