Where do I start?? I'm writing this review for anyone who may be thinking about buying a good used laptop for school or for a second system. If you are looking at this laptop, you will not get a good one. In every way a laptop can fall short, this one does. And to think, when it was new it was popular and even appeared on a few tv shows. It was a mistake to buy it and I cannot believe I wasted my money!

The lack of an adequate cooling system is one of the most annoying things I've ever dealt with. You cannot even sit this LAPtop on your lap, it has to stay tilted or have an external cooling fan underneath it. This is most annoying, and it gets so hot it will burn you and then shut itself off. This actually led to the literal melting of my hard drive. That meant I lost tons of pictures and other personal irreplaceable things.

Oh and did I mention the battery only lasts about an hour. And even worse, the AC adapter won't sometimes charge the battery because it is designed so poorly it doesn't even fit into the computer plug in and then the wires break down completely. I had mine replaced 3 times by Dell!!

This thing is HEAVY!! I it feels like it is 10 lbs or more! It's five times heavier and SLOWER than my new laptop. It has a low RAM level and has a very weak video card and low resolution screen that always looks dim and fadded. Oh and the screen is tiny! The mousepad is slow and sometimes unresponsive.

At the time it was a bad choice, and now, it is a bad choice, spend a little more on something different.

2.67 GHz Pentium 4, 512MB of DDR266 SDRAM, 40GB hard drive, 32MB ATI Mobility Radeon 7500, and only one PC Card slot and to go wifi you use it up!
