The Dell MMS 5650 5.1 Surround Sound speaker set is a fairly inexpensive yet powerful speaker set designed to be used with home computers.

For those that care about numbers, the MMS 5650 comes with 4 9-watt satellite speakers, a 14-watt center channel speaker, and a 5.25 inch 50-watt subwoofer. The system is 100 watts RMS.

The system is easy to put together and the cords are longer for the rear speakers, around 10 feet or so. The speakers connect to the subwoofer and in a nice touch each speaker has a different plug, so even if you can't see the colors you can always feel the right place to plug in the speakers. This also means that you don't have to deal with any standard speaker wire. The subwoofer also connects to the center channel. The subwoofer has a control for bass, as well as a master on/off switch, and the center channel has an on/off switch that is also used for volume.

The system sounds great, but it's not something you'd probably want to use for TV or a home theater. It's perfect and has great sound, power, and bass for home computers. Games and just listening to music sound great on these speakers. The only negative is the lack of a remote control. You actually need to place the central channel near where you'll be sitting so you'll have easy access to turn it on or off, up or down, etc.

Overall the speakers are great. If you want some inexpensive yet good speakers, try to find the Dell MMS 5650 5.1 speaker set and you won't be disappointed.
