I'm always looking for new ways to get in shape and work out. While my friend's pilates machine absolutely terrifies me this pilates workout by Denise Austin is fun and effective.
The DVD consists of two 22- minute workouts. Once consists of pilates' inspired mat work and the other concentrates on yoga and stretching. The first work out is mat based and I absolutely love it. I got to work my core muscles as well as my upper and lower body. When I started I wasn't quite flexible enough to have perfect form but that came not to long after I started. I found the yoga work out to be quite a bit more difficult and not nearly as much fun. To be honest though I have never enjoyed yoga.
Densie does a great job of "queing" each movments. I have found on some of her others DVDs that this is her weak point. Her attitude is upbeat but not overly perky. I love the constant encouragment and the peaceful music that plays in the background
