While Denise Austin's Boot Camp: Total Body Blast promises to be a boot camp style work out it really is nothing more than a glorified rip off of Tae Bo. This DVD consists of two 20 minutes workouts. The first is called Cardio Boot Camp. It consists of doing short burst of cardio with kick boxing and calisthenics in intervals. I found the first work out to be fairly easy and even thought Denise tries to be supportive she is terrible at giving direction.
The second work out on the DVD is called Strength Boot Camp. This work out consists of burst of cardio with intervals of weight training. I found this portion of the DVD to be a little more challenging because of the hand weights. But once again Denise is terrible at giving cues to the next exercise.
I find this DVD to be best for beginners. I was easily bored and certainly didn't feel like I go a boot camp style work out.
