Digital USB 2.0 DVB-T HDTV TV Tuner Recorder & Receiver
A lot of these are for sale on ebay for as cheap as 10 dollars, so I decided since the shop alternative was in the range of $29.99 that it could either be a waste of money or shops are overcharging us. I decided to find out and bought it from a Hong Kong supplier. To be blunt I was surprised! It may not be the best but for 10 dollars its gets it's job done!
according to the seller, it's specs and accessories are:
Support:Windows 2000 / XP / Vista. USB 2.0 Interface
Full DVB-T bandwidth reception (6/7/8 MHz).
Record and Watch digital terrestrial TV on Laptop or PC.
Still image snapshots.
Digital TV recording and playback as DVD quality.
Support Multi-pictuer display/Microsoft BDA drivers/Teletext/Electronic Program Guide.
USB DVB-T is some kind of mobile digital television receiver with multiple functions, which can be used with both laptop and desktop. It’s small and it can scan channels quickly. It has a low requests for the system and can be installed easily. The USB is easy to use.It has a series of functions including playing, stessing the ts sympol stream, recording mpeg4 and so on.
Basically it just picks up the channels you would pick up with the old analogue 'bunny ear' antenas, which is limited but granted it was cheap! Well worth the 10 dollars and arrived relatively fast! It also can record the tv that you watch.
note* It can't work in Brazil or some parts of USA, As it is terrestrial antenna input, you need to make sure the city where you living have been opened DVB-T wireless digital television signals !
