My son received the Disney Pixar Spiral Speedway for his birthday this year. With the names Disney and Fisher Price combining on this we expected it to be pretty good. I am glad we got it as a gift though because the price, $21.97, was more than we would have paid for it on our own. While it is rather simple, our son has had a blast playing with it.

The raceway comes with two cars, one blue and one red. They resemble the cars from the movie Cars. The speedway is made of plastic and has two tracks for the cars to race down. There are starting slots on the top for the cars to be placed in and a lever on the front to push and start the cars spinning down the track. One nice thing about the track is it is large enough for out son to also use it with his regular sized Hot Wheel cars. Another nice thing is that it is very light and has a handle on top so even our little boy can carry it and move it around very easily.

Besides the price as I mentioned the only other down side is the noise. perhaps this though only bothers me. When the lever is pushed, one of two saying occurs. It isn't horribly loud but one can only listen to, "Speed, I am speed, " so many times. Otherwise it is a fun little track that keeps our sons attention well and he uses the cars all over the place not just with the track.

Overall this was a pretty nice gift. I wouldn't have paid that price for it but perhaps would have bought it on sale. The cars roll very well and really do zip down the track. The cars also look vey much like the cars in the movie which our son recognized. They are rather small though so they shouldn't be given to real little kids. If you have a chance to find this on sale it would be a nice gift. I would recommend though if you are racing to use the blue car on the right track, it always seems to win.
