We purchased a board game classic with a twist that has become one of our family favorites. The game Sorry has been around for a while. We have the original version and enjoyed it very much. Then we were wandering the aisles of Toys R Us and came across Disney Sorry. Being Disney fans we had to have it and it did not disappoint.
The game is played just like the classic Sorry. You have the game board with the four Home and Start sections. There is a deck of cards which are used to move your pieces, there are no dice in this game. The biggest difference between this and the classic Sorry is that the game pieces are Disney characters. You have one set of villians which include Captain Hook and Maleficent, animals characters like Simba and Bambi, Boys like Peter Pan and Buzz Lightyear and Girls like Cinderella and Jessie from Toy Story. In addition there are cards in the deck with characters on them.
Even though it is the same game it is really fun to play with the Disney characters. My kids, ages 10, 8 and 5, love to play this version. It is a fun game and even though there is some reading involved with the cards we are able to help our youngest by reading his cards to him. It is a good game for him to practice his counting and the cards only go up to number twelve which is nice for younger children.
I really recommend this version as it just adds that Disney magic to an already great fun family game.
