What do you get when you take a classic card game and sprinkle it with Pixie Dust? Why Disney UNO of course.
Our family enjoys playing games together but I have 2 kids with a 7 years age difference so finding one that is entertaining that we can all play, is sometimes a challenge. One of our favorite games is the card game UNO. It is easy to set up and put away, easy to understand and does not take forever to finish a game. It is basically played like this: Each player starts with 7 cards, you then take turns matching cards by either color or number to the last card in the discard pile. If you do not have a match, you draw more cards until you do. The first player to discard all of their cards, wins the hand.
Disney UNO is played in the same basic way but with an added twist. Added to the regular deck of cards are special cards that have Pixie Dust graphics on them. When one of these cards is played, the player presses the Tinkerbell button located on the card tray. This sets off flashing lights and sounds as Tinkerbell then chooses the next color of card that is to be played. This game is recommended for 2-4 players ages 7 & up but my 6 year old son has no problem at all playing it.
My children now play the Disney version of UNO more than they play out original UNO. They like being able to see the pictures of their favorite characters as well as pressing the Tink button for the light and sound show. This is a great game for the whole family.
