Disney World is my favorite family vacation spot. We have been numerous times, our most recent was April 2007. I am planning another trip again in April 2008.

Hotels: There are so many hotels right on site, you will have a hard time deciding on which one is for you. They range in price from the Valued hotels, Moderate and Deluxe hotels. They even have a Military hotel if you qualify to stay here you can save a lot of money. I have stayed at the Deluxe hotel Beach Club, and at the Value All Star Music and the All Star Sports. I have even stayed at the Military Shades of Green. The Deluxe hotels are more luxurious, and have themed pools and a sit down table service restaurant, while the Value All Star hotels have large pools and food courts.

Restaurants: There are hundreds of places to eat, you can even eat your way around the world at Epcot. Which my family is in the process of doing. There are counter service meals and fancy sit down table service restaurants. You can special order cakes and divers for special events. I had ordered a Mickey Mouse head shaped cake and a diver with a banner for my son's 8th birthday. All the restaurants are themed, we had lunch at a drive in, we were seated in a car, ate while watching the big screen and listening to the sound thru speakers attached to the car. We purchased the meal plan, which each person in your party for every night of your stay received 1 counter service meal, 1 table service meal and 1 snack.

Parks; Recreation; Activities: There are four major themed parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM as well as, 2 themed water parks and Downtown Disney. There really isn't anything you can't see or do here. This is not just a thrill rides park, this is a family vacation spot. There are rides which just about all family members can go on regardless of age, shows, movies, character greetings, boat rides, arcades, swimming, sunbathing, you can even swim with sharks and dive in the aquarium.

Expense: We did not pay an arm and a leg for this trip, our hotel price was approx $100 per night, and the food was approx $38 per nite. We only paid base price for our tickets, but we were given free upgraded tickets during a promotion, which allowed us to park hop and included all the water parks and Disney quest. Keep an eye out for promotions and discounts, they really help on saving a few dollars.

We took the train down and had a rental service pick us up and take us to the hotel on site. After that it was Disney transportation, buses, monorails, and boats. The major thing here is that it is an all inclusive family resort. Disney takes payments and we did just that, we paid off our vacation in cash. Once we were there we had no worries about not being able to pay for something, we never worried about how expensive a meal was. This is our favorite vacation spot and here is where there is something for everyone traveling in your party, no matter how young or old you are.

Child care: I know there a variety of child care services here, but I have never used them, so I can not comment on this issue.

Disney World is a wonderful, magical family vacation all inclusive resort. One that I would recommend to anyone who will listen to me and I am looking forward to our next trip there.
