Disneyland in Southern California is where I first experienced the Disney magic! I have only visited one time, but I know that I will be going back. Sometimes I feel that Disneyland gets overshadowed by Disney World. Disneyland has a much more nostalgic feel to it than Disney World.
Disneyland is one of the two parks part of the Disneyland Resort in Southern California. It has 8 different sections, each one speical: Adventureland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, and Main Street USA.
Adventureland is where you will find Aladdin's Oasis, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and the Jungle Cruise. Snack options and shopping are also available.
Frontierland is home to The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This is mild roller coaster and youngsters 3 years of age can ride this as long as they are 40 inches tall. Games, character greetings, shopping and dining are also located here.
Tomorrowland is where you will find Space Mountain, one of the most popular attractions at Disneyland. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Jedi Training Academy can also be found here.
Mickey's Toontown is great for the little ones. Mickey and Minnie's houses can be toured and then you're little ones can meet the mouse himself! Along with character meet and greet, you're little Disney fans can ride Gadgets Go coaster and Roger Rabbits Car Toon Spin.
Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion are located inside New Orleans Square. You can also find some incredible cajun cooking!
Critter Country is a great place to meet the gang from the Hundred Acre Wood. Not only will you get to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends, you can also ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Don't forget to ride Splash Mountain while you are in Critter Country. But beware, you will get wet!
Main Street USA is filled with shops and dining. Characaters can be found scattered about Main Street.
If you are in Southern Califonia, don't miss Disneyland. It is fun for the entire family!
