For our honeymoon we wanted to go somewhere fun and entertaining as we are not sit on the beach types of people. Where do you find fun AND warm weather?! Disney World of course!! We booked our flights and our room and away we went. We spent 10 nights at Disney's Pop Century Resort. We figured that since we would only be sleeping in the room, what was the point of dishing out all the money for a moderate or deluxe room? Because we are both teachers the only time we could really go was Christmas which is also the most expensive time of the year, however, we didn't break the bank at POP. We were able to get a really nice room as an upgrade when we explained that it was out honeymoon, and because the room was wheelchair accessible it also had a free fridge! It was also considered a prefered location and was close to the bus stop and the main building which was definate plus.
The staff at POP were amazing, they were super helpful in answering any questions we had regarding dining, shopping etc and were more then willing to help you out in any way they could. Our mousekeeper was super and kept our room spotless, the one time we had to call for extra towels, they were fast to bring them to our room, and made sure they brought lots which was a definate bonus as we didn't have to call them again.
Even though it was a busy season, they had lots of extra buses running (for the most part!) and we were really lucky and didn't have to wait too long at all. I also loved the fact that POP is the only resort that doesn't share their buses with any other Value Resort so we didn't have to make any extra stops. A definate bonus when you're tired after a long day.
Finally, the food court had a large selection and the food was decent, however, because the hotel was booked solid, the food court was PACKED in the mornings. We always got a seat, but it took a bit to find one some mornings. I did however find all the lines moved decently fast and we didn't wait long to pay or get our food.
Overall our stay was amazing and we look forward to returning to POP in the future!
