On my husband & my second trip to Walt Disney World, we decided to stay at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort, the sister resort to the Port Orleans French Quarter that we had stayed at on our honeymoon. This resort is simply stunning.

When we arrived, we headed to check-in (we were early) and they were able to find us a room that was ready and was handicapped accessible for my husband. There are two different sections of resort rooms. There is Alligator Bayou, which has a more rustic feel and there is the Mansions, which is more elegant. We stayed in the Mansions section. Each Mansion has a different name and we stayed in Parterre place. Our room overlooked a lovely courtyard with a beautiful fountain and a view of the Sassagoula River.

This resort is larger than Port Orleans French Quarter, so walking to the main house at the resort takes a bit more time. This was a bit of a pain in the evening when we wanted to refill our resort mug with soda or coffee. Otherwise, we had nothing to complain about. the resort itself is absolutely beautiful and has a distict southern charm about it.
