We took the 4-night cruise on the Disney Wonder. It had a stop in Nassau, Castaway Cay (Disney's own island), and one day at sea. Our group was my husband, my 7-year old daughter, my 1 year old daughter, and me. A Disney cruise is exactly as you think it should be... full of magic. We had a roomy deluxe stateroom with a verandah. It fit our family comfortably. The thing I like best about the Disney cabins is the bathroom is split in 2. The toilet and a sink is in one part, while the shower and another sink is in the second part. This is great when one person needs to use the toilet while another is showering. The dining is unique on Disney. Instead of going to one restaurant the entire time, you switch between 3 different restaurants each night. Each one has a different feel and a different menu. But the food is great in each one. The wait staff travels with you each night. Our staff got to know us and when we arrived there was always a milk waiting for our baby and a sprite for our older girl. My husband and I were lucky enough to eat at the adult only restaurant, Palo's twice. Once for dinner, and once for brunch. It was amazing! Our baby stayed at Flounder's Nursery each time. She seemed to enjoy it, because we were never paged to come get her. Our older daughter spent time making friends in the kid's club. I think a Disney cruise is great for families, but it also can be good for people not travelling with kids. The shows are high quality, the food great, and the staff makes you feel like royalty. It is well worth the extra money.
