I would like to do a review about Doc marten shoes, with the air wear soles. These are some of the most comfortable and versatile shoes you can buy.
In my last job, I was issued these, as are a lot of occupations, including the Royal Mail. They are available in slip-on form, but mine are lace-up. You can get these in various colours, but mine are Black. The soles are air wear rubber, with welded welts, attaching them to the Leather uppers. The Leather is very good quality, and will shine up nicely. The laces are easy to tie, with normal eyelets. Inside the shoes, are smooth insoles, allowing the foot to go in smoothly, but not slide about during use.
The heels are rubber too, meaning these shoes are non slip. They do last for many years, but can be repaired. As for the cost, I am not sure, as I have never had to actually buy them, although if & when the time comes to bin my comfy Doc's, I will be willing to shell out my own money.
Doc Marten have been famous for making boots for many years, worn by Skinheads, and Para's alike, they were good, or they would not have sold as they did. The tread pattern on the soles is very rugged looking, making them grip well.
They can be worn all day long, in wet or dry conditions. I can personally recommend these shoes to all.
