My puppy ate the remote again - 2nd time in 1 week. So I ran down to CVS drugstore for a new one since it was the closest store. I paid $14.99. I suspect this remote may be cheaper in a larger type store. CVS had maybe 4 remotes to choose from. I picked this one because IT CAME WITH TWO REMOTES IN THE PACKAGE! So I hid one away in case.

I will say they are smaller than the typical remote. May get lost easier - harder for big hands to hold. Did not come with batteries. Not sure on battery life as we haven't had it for long enough.

This remote claims to work on over 350 brands - so it's universal. We have a Panasonic tv works fine. Set up seemed a pain but my husband did this - may be user error! This remote is only for tv, cable, vcr, and dvd. Not meant for satellite.

Major drawbacks for us, the tv only turns up so far by remote. In order to turn the tv up louder you must go up to the tv unit itself and do it from there. Ugh. the volume on the remote is fine for most tv viewing but you know those movies where the sound is so low in parts? Also every time you change the station on the tv you must hit the cable button on the remote first - pain in the neck.

I probably wouldn't buy this remote again. Since the drugstore had only a small selection that is what I got but too many drawbacks for us as well as the very small size.
