Has your doggie ever suffered from that "not so fresh feeling"? Maybe it's time to look into a product like the Freshening Spray for Dogs from Petco!
While I was shopping in that store one day, I wandered down the shampoo aisle and they had a deal where if you guy the shampoo from Petco, you get a little spray bottle of their freshening spray. Hey, it was free, and I needed the shampoo anyway, so what the heck-I gave it a try. It's not too bad! There were 3 choices of fragrances and I chose the Vanilla scent. It's not exactly the most vanilla-y smell ever. It has more of a flowery overtone with some vanilla in it. There is aloe vera in the spray as well, to help the dogs' coats. This product is also alcohol free so it won't dry out the skin unnecessarily.
The best thing about this product is that it's quick and easy to use-you spray it all over your dog's fur, give them a quick brush (or not), and suddenly he smells ok again! This is not a substitute for a bath by any means (see the Miracle Groom review-that one could substitute for a bath), but it's a quick freshener if you're having company over or if you're just sick of wet dog smell in your house. The aloe makes the dog shiny and the coat look pretty clean. My dogs don't have overly sensitive skin, but neither of them have had any issues with the spray.
Overall, this is a quick fix for doggie odor. If they don't have the sale going on where you get this for free (which they do run quite often), I believe this bottle was about $2 to $3, and a little seems to go a long way-it does last for at least 10 applications for my large breed dogs. You can do it as often as you like, and it does help the smell. Not entirely, but it helps!
