My husband purchased this Better homes and Gardens king size quilt set for me about a month ago. I love quilts, so my husband thought I would be snuggling our baby with this pretty floral quilt.
The set came with 2 pillow shams and the king size quilt. It is very pretty and I loved the large size. There is nothing better than curling up with a huge quilt in my opinion.
I was very happy to recieve this thoughtful gift, sure it is not handmade, but as anyone knows a handmade quilt can be quite expensive.
I couldn't resist using this quilt before the arrival of our little bundle of joy, so almost immediately I had it on our bed .
Within 3 days i noticed a small rip in the fabric. Imagine how disappointed I was!
The next day I noticed a larger tear in the fabric. I thought that was odd, I showed my husband and he was annoyed. He said he was going to return it to the store he bought it from, so I decied to do a little experiment. I grabbed a section of the quilt with both hands and gave a SLIGHT tug on the fabric. It ripped very badly from the slight tug. I was very disappointed by this. I did not argue when he took it back.
My husband said he was not going to get a replacement, we would just shop around for a locally made quilt.
The Better Homes And Garden King Size Antique Floral Quilt set is utterly a waste of money. It is very cheaply made and the stitching is not designed to hold up, the quilt would be nice if you never intended to take it out of the packaging, but to actually use it for even a few days spells disaster.
