For Christmas, my sister bought me my third Dooney & Bourke bag. The purse was nice, a satchel style with handles and shoulder strap options. Though I loved the color of it, I just could not move into it because the style was just not me. After one month of staring at that purse, I decided to go to Dillard's to exchange it for something I really liked.
At the store, I browsed through the inventory for a Dooney bag I really liked. I was hoping for an even exchange. I ended up choosing two styles. One was canvas and rather looked like a slouch bag. The price was the exact same as my exchange. The other was a leather drawstring style. I loved the design. However, the price was $55 dollars more than my exchange ($285 total).
In all reality, I knew I would not be happy with my Dooney bag unless I got the drawstring. I pulled out my credit card and paid the difference.
I know from experience Dooney & Bourke handbags and wallets stand the test of time. I have two others and they are 20 and 15 years old. The classic style of the DB purses I own will never go out of fashion, or at least I would always want to use them. I knew I would get my monies worth out of this purse.
This model Dooney bag can be worn over the shoulder or hand held. The interior is extremely roomy. There is a zippered storage area, a cell phone pocket, a sunglass case, and a key keeper. The fob has changed over the years but I like the new style. There is a leather Dooney & Bourke emblem attached to the front of the bag. The best thing about Dooney leather bags is the fresh saddle leather scent.
I have owned other brand purses. I can tell you Dooney & Bourke stands for quality. They also have a variety of style options to suit any taste and almost any budget. If you are looking for a quality purse, you should check out Dooney bags first.
