These are my favorites of the chocolates that we can get locally on a regular basis.
These cost more than M&Ms or the Hersey’s Mixed minis, but I think they taste good enough to be worth it, and they aren’t as expensive as the really specialty chocolates. I don’t know how Dove does it, but it seems to me that they really do manage to make their chocolates super smooth. They just melt on your tongue and then the flavor fills your whole mouth.
Each candy is wrapped in foil, and is 8 grams. They say a serving is 5 pieces, worth 210 calories, 120 of which is from fat. We find that most days we can be happy with 2 pieces, so that’s only 80 calories.
The wrappers are a little added plus as well. The outsides do tell you the kind of chocolate in very fine print in case you mix their kinds in a bowl and forget which color is which. Each one is imprinted with an upbeat or encouraging saying on the inside. For example: “What if the season to be jolly lasted all year long?” The sayings may be tied to the current holiday season, such as that one is, but they may be generic for any occasion. These ones were in a holiday package.
The other thing I like about the wrappers is that they are real foil and can be recycled.
