I burn a lot of incense and I like having an closed Incense burner so that my small curious dog will not get his little nose burnt on the incense. I received this dragon incense burner as a gift recently. I love dragons so this was a perfect gift for me. The incense burner can be used to burn your incense in or you can just use it as room decor. It is a 5 headed dragon painted in a bronzish shade with redish orange eyes on the dragon heads. It's very sturdy and a little on the heavy side but not too heavy. I'm not sure what material it is made of as none of the tags say. It feels a bit like resin but I'm not 100% sure that that is what it is.
The five mouths on the dragon are open for a reason. Dragons breath fire there for what a perfect place for the incense smoke to come out of the burner at. The smoke also comes out of the dragons ears.
From my experiance with this burner it is a very cool concept. There are acouple issues like when the incense if burning the smoke seems to only comeout of the top dragon head instead of all the heads. I've seen it come out of a couple of the other heads but not as much as it does the top head. Also putting the incense in the burner is a bit on the tricky side. The burning plate is removable so you light the incnese, palce it in the plate, the try to put the plate back up through the bottom of the burner (remember I said the burner was a bit on the heavy side) plus twist the bottom back into place and res tthe burner back on the table with out knocking the incense over. Easier said then done. But when you do manage to get it in there it is an awesome effect.
