Drano Max Gel Not So Sure!

I have used Drano in the past and recently decided to try it again. Our bathroom sink has started clogging and every time the water is run standing water quickly forms. I looked at the variety of products on the shelf and chose the Drano Max Gel based on its level of strength and supposed power to drain standing water clogs.

The bottle stated to pour half the bottle down and rinse with hot water in 15 minutes. For TOUGH clogs, it says to pour the whole bottle down and flush 30 minutes later. I wouldn't say it was a tough clog, but it is definitely bothersome and I wanted it to be cleared up for sure. For this reason, I tried pouring the whole bottle down. After about 20 minutes, I flushed it with hot water for some time. It appeared to still be draining slowly.

There may be some slight improvement but I would not say our clog is cleared. I have had this sort of experience in the past but was hoping that either the product had improved or my clog was not as bad as I initially thought. I don't think I'll be buying another bottle any time soon!
