While my husband was out of town working in Pennsylvania he got bored and decided to go shopping. He went into Spencer Gifts and found this Drunken Parrot Fountain on clearance. He decided to buy it for me. My husband who's not one to read directions, brought it home while I was out and tried to get it set up and ready for me. The fountain came with a pack of dye (orange food coloring I think). Apparently your only supposed to add a little of the dye with the water and save some for later water changes. The dye is supposed to color the water yellow to make it look like the parrot is drinking beer. The only setup is putting the pump and light in the bottom and putting the top on which is the ice, bird, and other beer bottles(2 pieces) When I first got home and saw it, the parrot looked more like it was drinking blood, he added the whole dye pack! Anyway, there is a blue, yellow and green parrot laying atop an icebucket filled with miniature beer bottles, lime slices, and ice while tipping up a beer that is flowing out into it's beak. There is also a light that sits down in the bottom of the ice bucket to light up the fountain from underneath. I ended up dumping out the overly dyed water and refilling it so it looked like it was supposed to and I think it is a very cute addition to our tropicaly designed livingroom. The fountain is a big hit with guests too!
