When I do laundry I want to get rid of static cling, soften some clothing items and to make my laundry smell nice so I use laundry sheets that you put in the dryer such as Bounce or any softener sheet. What I do not like about dryer sheets is the way I am constantly picking up the dryer sheets off the floor when they fall out of the dryer. I don't like when dryer sheets get stuck to my clothes only to find them sticking out a pant leg or a sleeve.
I have been seeing Dryer Balls advertised on television and online and had heard good and bad things about these balls. I finally saw them being advertised at a low price so I decided to try them. If you have seen these advertised you know they are two rubber balls with spikes all over them and you know you put both of them in the dryer. THey are advertised to soften clothes, eliminate static cling, fluff up clothes and reduce dryer time. I could not wait to try these balls and see if they were solution to my problems.
When I got them, I was doing laundry that day so I popped them in with some sheets. I was not that impressed with the results so I tried them in the next load of clothes. My first impression of these balls was correct. They did not reduce dryer time, they did not fluff up my clothes any more than the dryer generally does and the clothes were clinging together due to static electricity.
In my opinion, this product is a waste of time and money so it's back I go to using dryer sheets or fabric softener in the washer.
