Ever seen those dumb commercials, in which a group of friends get together and discuss constipation over lunch? Never happens, folks! The reality is that you pretty much suffer in silence, then go on a discreet little shopping trip to the drugstore to find a product to help relieve the bloated, unpleasant feeling you have that makes it difficult or impossible for you to...well...eliminate. I don't use over-the-counter products often for constipation, because of the information I've read about long-term use of them. However, I don't see anything too bad with using laxatives, occasionally, as long as you don't abuse them. I have taken Dulcolax, for mild bouts of discomfort before and it really does work to fix the problem. It costs $12.49 a box at Walgreens for a box of 50, which, when you consider how small these little capsules are, seems way too steep a price. However, it's good to have a box of Dulcolax available, when I need it and since I am not likely to use this product too often, then I guess the price can be somewhat justified.
