Dutch Blitz is a very entertaining card game - or, "A Vonderful Goot Game!", as stated on the box, with which I completely agree. A funny Dutch-accented poem of the same title printed on the back of the box warns that once you've started, "you'll play for most the day!"; I can attest to that as well.
The game is for ages 8 and up; it can be played by two, three, or four people. The set has four decks of cards, each one colored differently: red, green, blue, an yellow. The cards have numbers on them, from 1 to 10, and the object of the game is to collect as many cards as you can in sequence. The rules of Dutch Blitz might sound a little complicated, and there is some new terminilogy to learn, but the concept is easy to grasp, especially if you have someone showing you how to play. A sheet with game rules also comes with the set.
I would recommend this game both for kids and adults. It is unusual, well thought-out, and, most importantly, FUN! We've just bought two sets of Dutch Blitz for a friend overseas who is hooked on it, so watch out, you might get hooked as well.
