I have never in my life paid so much for a cleaning implement. And I have never in my life been so glad that I did!
A friend kept telling me how wonderful her Dyson is. It cleans better than any vacuum, it never clogs, on and on and on. I seriously began to worry about her as she raved about her beloved Dyson. I may get that excited about an upcoming vacation, an especially good report card that one of my kids brings home, but a vacuum cleaner? No way.
After fighting my old, difficult to use and unreliable vacuum one time too many I threw up my hands knowing deep down that I had to make a change. I drug myself, nearly kicking and screaming, to my local home improvement store, took a deep breath, gritted my teeth and hauled that baby right up to the register. I knew I was about to shell out more of my hard earned money than I really thought was sane.
Once I got it home and put it together and plugged it in, I waited for the big let down to come. I began the pushing and pulling, just knowing that I would find streaks of dust and dirt and pet hairs left behind like with my old vacuum. All I saw though was my carpet. My clean carpet. My carpet looking almost as good as when it was new. No pet hairs at all! How could this be? I pulled out the telescoping wand and crevice tool and hit those stringy webs up in the corners near the ceiling expecting them to fall on my head. Nope, they were gone. The stairs, my least favorite vacuuming chore, I just knew the Dyson would let me down there but with the stair tool, I was amazed at how easy they were also. Then I took a look at the dirt collection canister and was ashamed at the amount of dirt in the thing. Dirt from my house. How could that much dirt have been in my house?
All I can say is that I love my Dyson. Never again will I try to clean my house without a Dyson and never again will I complain about the price of it. Now I see the difference in a quality vacuum and an affordable vacuum. I cannot afford not to use Dyson.
