As you know, it is back to school time. My sons are going into the 8th grade this year. They go back and forth from year to year on whether or not to carry a backpack. This year they decided they wanted one. So, on our annual trip to WalMart for school supplies, Jamie picked out this basic backpack by Eastport.
They have used Eastport backpacks before and they always lasted very well. I think this one will do well also. It is dark navy blue (although it looks black in the picture) so dirt won't show. It is made of polyester & nylon so it should be very durable.
The body of the backpack has 3 main compartments. The main one will expand to 6 inches wide and has a pencil pouch made of clear plastic. The second compartment features a holder for an ID card, a pocket for your wallet, pen holders, coin pouch and another pocket with a velcro flap. The third compartment is big enough to hold their gym clothes. it also has a small zippered pocket and closes with a velcro flap.
There is a mesh pouch on each side and a detachable cell phone holder. The straps are easily adjusted to fit just right. The lower back and bottom are padded which acts as a support to help lighten the load. All in all, this is a very nice backpack at a very affordable price.
