Sandra Lee is host of the Food Network show Semi-Homemade and although I am a fan of Food Network I have not been a big fan of this show. I received a copy of Semi-Homemade 20-Minute Meals as a gift and was pleasantly surprised to find that many of the recipes looked great.
The recipes in this book span a wide range of courses including soups, salads, pastas and desserts. Most of the recipes are easy for even a beginner to follow. I love that the recipes use ready-to-use items from the grocery to create a home-cooked meal in very little time. A photo accompanies each recipe so that you can easily see what it should look like when it is finished. I always find that a helpful tool.
I have tried several of the recipes already and they have been a hit with my family. Anything that helps me feed my family healthy food they like in a short amount of time is good with me.
My only disappointment with this book is that I wish it contained more recipes.
