Eldest, Being the second book in a four part cycle, is by far the best book in the bunch, well at least until the final book is released. We once again follow our Eragon, who for those that don't know, is the main character.
This time around we get a little more insight into his past and his family. There is tons of action from pirates to huge battles. There are many surprise twists in this part of the 4 part story that you cant afford to miss or you will be totally lost from here on out.
I have stated in anouther review that my opinion of Chistopher Paolini's writing is that it is only mediocre. I feel that only has to do with his age.
For being a middle book in a cycle, it doesn't feel like this book was wasted on filler material. I rather enjoyed this book and think that anyone forom ages 15-30 would enjoy it as well.
