If you like books that "see" as I like to put it...or, in otherwords, create an image in your mind's eye as you read, than you may like this book. It is the story of Queen Elizabeth from the day of her birth, much to her father's dismay he wanted a boy afterall, to the day she is crowned Queen. It tells of her life spent in and out of her father's favor. Hated one day by her half-sister, Mary, and loved the next by the same. The whims of her half-sister become harsher after thier father's death and Elizabeth lives in fear of her very life frequently. Rumors of conspiracy follow her but she is, in fact, finally crowned Queen. It is a good story and written in a tiltillating style. If you find it tedious to read the "old" English form of speech then you might not enjoy this book as much as I did but if your interest as been engaged at all by this review then it would certainly be worth a look. It is an old book and certainly out of print by now but you may be able to find it at your public library or you could try the regular online sources for used books such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Albris.
