This glue stick is handy, and holds papers well, but the cap is very difficult to remove.
I bought a package of these so that I could give some of them to kids working on a project, but ended up with one for myself. In general, it’s a very nice glue stick. As most such products, it has a pull off cap, and a twist base which pushes the stick up in the tube as it is used up. The particular one is a “gel” glue so it’s very soft. It slides onto the paper very easily and smoothly. It has no odor at all, and is washable. I haven’t had occasion to test this on clothing, but it easily washed off my hand.
When you press the two pieces of paper together you will have a few seconds to move them around for positioning. The paper does show a small amount of wrinkling. This is a glue for kids and paper projects that don’t need to be completely smooth. Once the bond is formed the papers are securely fastened together, and cannot be easily separated.
This is a handy type of glue to keep in the desk to seal envelopes that have come apart.
My one complaint with this product is that the cap pulls off very hard. In fact, I thought it might be a screw-on cap because I was having so much trouble with it. But it really does pull off. There is a ridge that the cap has to snap over. Probably it needs the better seal to keep the gel formula soft. I suspect that the tight cap will be difficult for smaller children to use on their own, and they will be likely to leave it uncovered, thus drying the adhesive.
