This sequel to Empire Earth I is intense. Before you even consider purchasing this real time strategy game, you need to make sure that your PC has the proper system requirements for single and multiplayer games. The Platinum Edition game box includes Empire Earth II, Empire Earth II: Expansion, and a 256 page strategy guide that gives you detailed walkthroughs, complex analysis of both turning points, comprehensive guides to multiplayer specific strategies, as well as tips that are game tested. This guide also breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of each civilization.

If you've played Empire Earth I, you know that each set of tanks, fighters, and military troops need to be upgraded. However in Empire Earth II, every single tank, plane, and each military personnel needs to be upgraded and considered individual.

Forget mining for gold, iron and stone, and digging away for wood and food. In Empire Earth II, you need to gather far beyond the basics of gold, iron, stone, food, and wood. Add oil, uranium, tin, and saltpeter to that list.

One of the most unique elements of this game is that there is weather. Calm and severe weather that comes as goes as if you are in real time. The weather also causes adverse effects on your units, which makes this game even more complex.

When playing the first Empire Earth, it literally became a two to three hour game or longer because of the many Epochs. Well, with this sequel there are 15 Epochs that will add at least two more hours to your original play time.

Sierra Entertainment really outdone themselves with this sequel. The graphics are beyond amazing and the music is very unique. The strategies will keep you going for hours and boggle your mind with every step you take.

I highly suggest reading the guide first because it may look like Empire Earth I, but trust me; you have a lot more to learn before you even press that start button.

If you like high thinking, time consuming, real time strategy games, then head on down to your local Best Buy and pick this Platinum Edition of Empire Earth II up for about $20...because this... is the game for you.
