I never dreamed of setting foot in the Philippine's Capital but I was given an opportunity. The first teambuilding we had when I got promoted. Destination? Manila, then stroll along the good places of National Capital Region. We went to Laguna to visit Enchanted Kingdom, the first theme Park in the Philippines.
The day did not cooperate as heavy rains threatened to ruin our schedule but rain or shine, nothing can break our fun. Inside the park, I contented myself in visiting the souvenir shops before checking out the rides. The first ride we had was the DODGEM bump cars in the Midway Boardwalk. Then we proceeded to ride the Rollerskate, the rollercoaster for the faint of hearts, yeah I call it that way because it wasn't scary at all. No loops, it was more like riding on a train with zigzag rails.
We then walked towards Anchors Away, this one's more like it. I felt my stomach churn as I sat at the last bench. After that we rode on the Wheel of Fate with our boss. Whilst inside the ferris wheel I looked down and felt a little dizzy, it has been a while since I last rode on a ferris wheel, around ten or more years ago.
After a few strolling around, we reached we reached the space port and found the space shuttle. I, our QA manager, two IT engineers, HR head and another Shift manager braved ourselves to try. I dared one of the IT engineers to ride with me in the front and he accepted my challenge. I had the most thrilling experience. I love the feeling when you get shot from way up, go through two loops and then shot from way up once again.
No one was brave enough to try the space shuttle once again except for me and our QA Manager, the two IT engineers just joined along after a little convincing and threatening them to defend the male species. They are not going to back down on two girls, aren't they?
The day ended with a 3d movie at the realto, it was a nice experience. Hopefully, I'd get to bring my family at Enchanted Kingdom if given a chance.
