Equate Daily Renewal Cleanser is a Wal-Mart product that helps to exfoliate and cleanse aging skin. The product contains microbeads that help to gently remove dead skin cells from the surface of your face. According to the package, the product is similar to Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cleanser. I chose the product because it's very inexpensive, non-drying and helps me to keep my skin moist and young-looking. Equate Daily Renewal Cleanser's beta hydroxy complex is what does the trick.
After using this product for several months, I have decided I can't live without it. The glycerine soap I had been using previously was causing my skin to become dried out. I was experiencing a lot of build-up of dead skin which wouldn't exfoliate. If I cleanse with Equate Daily Renewal Cleanser every day, I find that my skin is much more moist and supple. As advertised, the microbeads are very gentle. They don't leave my skin feeling abraded. Instead, they help to keep my skin healthy and fresh.
I highly recommend using this product in combination with an anti-aging moisturizer and makeup. However, it is important to wear a sunscreen with this product, since beta hydroxy acids can make the skin more sensitive to the sun.
