Eragon, the first book in the Inheritance cycle, is a good piece of work by Christopher Paolini. He began writing this story while he was still in highschool so the writing is what i would call mediocre, but of course it is a very engaging story with lots of magic and fantasy to keep the reader interested.

I personally have read the series multiple times. I dont get tired of the story. The words that the author created for the various languages of all the races in his world can be confusing at times but of course there is a guide in the back.. I guess he thought of everything.

The book is of good length. Some of the scenes portrayed in the story are a little drawn out, but every detail is covered so you know exactly what is happening in the story.

I reccomend this book to just about anyone. Its fun and imaginative, and is a great way to pass a rainy day stuck indoors. Be sure to check out the reviews of the other two books currently published for the Inheritance Cycle as well
