Although it was not established that repetitive usage of our hands especially in an industrial environment can cause Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, it is best to take precautions. Today most manufacturers of equipments that involve repetitive usage of hands and wrists made sure that their products are ergonomically safe and avoid overstressing our hands and wrists and thus adaptive technology evolved. It is undeniable that our hands are our best ally in getting any work done but the risk of RSI if not carpal tunnel is huge. RSI or Repetitive Strain Injury can cause hampering in our work that is why most companies use ergonomically adaptive technology to lessen the stress.
I was issued an ergonomic stapler since as a manager, I will be dealing with tons of paperwork. The stapler is pink in color since I am the only female manager in the operations. I like the color, the sleek design and the ease of use. The size is not too bulky as well. The stapler comes with a stapler wire remover which can double as a letter opener.
This stapler uses number 3 (24/6) or number 35 (26/6) staple wires which you can buy in any educational supplies. There is also Max staple wires if you prefer the brand and this stapler will do with any brand of staple wires.
Being in a computer industry, my hands will most of the time be found typing in my laptop or signing some documents and stapling some bondpapers for the entire eight hour shift, so imagine that, my hands' workload will at least be minimized by a humble ergonomic stapler.
