I bought Eucerin Calming Body Oil during the winter. I saw the product in a magazine and looked for it on the shelves at my local stores. I couldn't find it so I asked the pharmacy at Kmart if they could order it. When I see something I want to try, I go to great lengths to find it. I went to pick it up at the store, I thought it was a bit pricey at 8.00 for a body oil. It comes in a gold bottle with a navy top. I used about half of it and then it just sat in the shower til recently. I decided to finish the bottle. I will not purchase it again. I just didn't care for it. It states on the bottle that it is clinically proven to relieve dry, itchy skin with a mild lather of natural omega oils. It is fragrance free. Eucerin does seem to help the dry skin which is exactly what it states on the bottle. So why do I not like it? I prefer a creamy, lotion bath wash. It seems to work better and lather nicer. Eucerin does not lather well at all and states that it has a mild lather. But I felt like there was nothing on my washcloth. When I shower, I want a lather to clean my skin. I know not everyone needs a lather, but I do. My showers are important to me and I want to feel my body wash. I don't see where the oil is better than lotion. I had to use more oil to get a little lather which uses up the bottle faster-not good with the price if you intend to buy more. I guess I like a better consistency altogether. Another point- Be careful using Eucerin Shower Oil-you might fall. Yes if you are showering, the bottom of the shower gets slippery.
