The Evenflo Triumph 5 is a near perfect 5 pt. harness convertible carseat. Both my boys loved this car seat from 5 months old through 2 yrs old when we upgraded to another brand. This car seat is very user friendly meaning it installs nicely even for those of us who make their husbands do the installations, normally. I was so afraid when I had to install this seat for the first time. To my surprise, not only was it not difficult, IT WAS EASY!

The other feature that Evenflo gave this car seat, that no other car seat has, are the knobs to tighten the harness. These two little devices located on each side of the seat make loosening and tightening the straps very simple. Why no other brand has picked up on this, I have no clue. You push a yellow tab down and pull the straps out. You then fasten your children properly and securely in the car seat and if there is remaining slack in the harness, you turn the knob a click or too. It's really very simple and quick. And there is no tacky strap hanging down the front of the car seat that we've seen on many other seats. The look of this seat is nice too. It's shaped like a Papasan chair which is quite modern and chic.

This car seat comes in various patterns. Try not to lose your mind looking for the installation manual. It's tucked in the back side of the seat. This seat also rates very well in safety. It got an A on the crash test. The only difference between this seat and the Britax is the comfort level. The Britax is said to be more comfortable.

I would have given this seat 5 stars, however it only goes to 40lbs and for some, that isn't very long and with a purchase of $150-$200, you wanna make sure your kid has room for growth.
