I subscribe to the magazine Everyday with Rachel Ray. Rachel is a well known cook who has done quite a few Food Network shows, her own talk show and written numerous cookbooks. She is funny and witty and is known for her easy 30 minutes or less recipes that have wonderful flavors and combinations. I really enjoy her and that is what made me subscribe to her magazine.
It does not disappoint. It has wonderful recipes in it, with pictures and good instructions. They are recipes of foods I would actually want to make on a weeknight, not too fancy or pretentious. She always has a bunch of 30 minute or less ones and often has themed ones like recipes for a Mexican night party or a weekend brunch. There are also articles on kitchen gadgets or travel destinations. Those are always fun because Rachel will give you tips on great local places to eat in these different cities or unique places to stay. She always has a recipe that kids can make as well as one for the dogs.
Another feature I love is the very last page of each issue she shows a celebrity and photographs them with their fridge. She has them talk about what is in it and asks them some really silly questions. It is fun though and neat to see that some favorite celeb of yours might eat the same yogurt you do! There is also another celebrity section where she has someone tell you what they ate in one typical day.
So it is not just recipes, though there are many of those, but lots of other fun features too. It really is a well rounded magazine and one I look forward to receiving in my mailbox every month.
