Thanks to my new Bunn coffee maker, I can finally brew a good cup of coffee.
I have always owned cheap coffee machines and I tend to but the most inexpensive coffee the store has so it's no wonder you could use my coffee to strip off wallpaper. I would never serve it to anyone else but for me, it just became the norm.
Recently my 8 year old Mr. Coffee machine was looking and smelling pretty bad due to the burnt on coffee that was permanently seared on to the warming plate and it was time for a new one. I am not a coffee connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination and I have only been to Starbucks twice ever in my life so to me all coffee makers are pretty much the same. I had though heard of the Bunn brand and knew they had an excellent reputation for the quality of their machines but there was no way I was ever going to pay that much for a coffee maker. One day we were in Target looking at machines and I saw theBunn commercial style coffee brewer and told my husband how pretty it was and how well it matched our kitchen. He asked me how much it was and we saw it was on clearance for 50% off. I told him that was a pretty good deal but I was still not paying that much for a coffee maker. He is in that Target all the time so I asked him to watch the price and see if it got lower. Sure enough, 2 weeks later it was marked 75% off and it was too good of a deal to pass up.
I am totally in love with this machine. I use the same cheap coffee that I always have and I get a cup of coffee that I would be proud to serve to anyone. It is super easy to use and brews an entire pot of steaming hot coffee in only 3 minutes.
Here's how it works. The Bunn coffee brewer has a tank in the back of the machine that is constantly filled with water which, it keeps hot. When you are ready to brew a pot, you add your coffee grounds and fresh water to the unit, place the carafe in the machine and close the lid. As soon as the lid is closed, the brewed coffee begins to fill the carafe. The fresh water you have added to the machine then fills the tank in the back and is reheated and ready to use in about 15 minutes. The machine has no warming unit but the carafe is made of insulated stainless steel which keeps the coffee hot for hours without constantly cooking it like a machine with a warming plate does. They say that it will keep it hot for up to 2 hours but I have brewed coffee in the morning and then emptied it at night and it was still hot enough to drink.
The machine comes with a small supply of filters as well as tools to clean it and has a 3 year limited warranty. The slogan on the box says "nothing brews like aBunn" which is a statement I am in total agreement with now that I own one.
