The Exped Venus II tent, although expensive, is a great expedition quality tent for a variety of adventures. The single man tent is made of durable, quality material and the design is built to withstand the forces of nature. I've had the tent survive 50mph wind gusts and I'm sure it could easily stand up to 70mph gusts, if not more.
Once one has the hang of assembling the tent it is possible to have it completely assembled within minutes. The single pole design works well and is surprisingly durable.
The best thing about the Venus II tent is that it is very light weight and packs into a small space. This makes it a great tent for anyone that is backpacking or bicycle touring. The tent is also quite roomy for being a one man tent, and the vestibule area can store a pair of boots and a bag of gear, keeping all of one's valuables out of the weather during the night.
