My Tita from Australia gave me 6 pieces of these plates made by Corelle. Tita is fond of collecting tableware and these plates formed part of the tableware she handed over to me. I am not aware of brands of tableware that are indeed quite expensive but knowing Tita money is not a problem, she buys what she likes. When my cousin came with us for a swimming party for my boy's fifth birthday he saw these plates. He was once a sales clerk for Luminarc in the famous department store here in the Philippines. He was the one who told me that Corelle brand is expensive but durable. The plates are white in color with flowers and butterflies at the edges. It is quite big in diameter but so lite in weight. My cousin told me that it is durable but when it had a bad fall it will break into very tiny pieces. When I touched the plates for the first time I thought it is plastic but thank God he told me otherwise.
I have been using these Corelle plates for two weeks now and everytime we eat it seems like fine dining because of these great tableware.
