I am a big-busted woman with a tiny five-foot frame. Bras are a necessary fact of life but usually painful and ugly when you're this big. For years the only color options available to me were black, white, and nude. Then I decided to try a fantasie bra when figleaves.com had them on sale.
I was pleased with the color selection (I got red and a light teal color) but even more pleased with the way they fit. The straps are nice and wide, but they don't dig in. I liked the design where the side part of the band is wide, but it tapers in the back and only has two rows of hook and eye closures (all the other bras I've owned in my size have at least three rows). The bottom half of the cups are solid and opaque, while the top half are sheer and covered in lace. I've never owned such a pretty bra in my life!
It doesn't dig in like other bras and I love how the larger cup sizes are available. You have to do some conversion because the bras come in UK sizes and they are a bit different. For instance, an FF in Fantasie sizes is like an H in US sizes. The figleaves site has both sizes so you know what to buy. They have a huge variety of band sizes and large cup sizes.
My only complaint is that they are so expensive! I have three that I wear that I got on sale but I'm waiting to find more on sale before buying more. The list price is usually at least 70 bucks for most of the styles, which is expensive. If you have a store near you definitely go try them on and see which styles and sizes you like best, and then find them online when some of the stores like figleaves and herroom have sales.
Overall, if you hate putting on your bra in the morning and can't wait to take it off when you get home, this might be the bra for you. I've tried every type of bra known to man, from minimizers to leisure bras and everything in between. This is definitely one of my most favorite bras.
