The Fender Hot Rod Deville is a 60 watt tube amplifier with two 10 inch speakers. It has two channels, with added "brightness" on the clean channel and drive and more drive on the second channel. The amplifies comes with a power cord and a two button foot switch.
When one thinks of Fender amplifiers, they think of the clean tones they produce. This amplifier is no exception. The clean channel is crystal clear and does not break up until very high volumes. The 60 watts is more than enough power for the amp. The amp is also very loud. At a volume setting of three, it can be ear blistering.
The distortion channel is nice and the added function of more drive is very nice, for leads and extra crunch. I still opt for a distortion pedal for a more pure level of distortion.
My only complaint about this amp is how heavy it is. It is very hard to carry around. It has more than enough power for any guitarist or any situation.
I do like this amp quite a bit and has served me well with no problems. It is a good buy for a guitarist looking for a quality tube amplifier.
