When we brought our baby home from the hospital recently we had already put our Christmas tree up for the season. It is right next to the chair that I feed her in and it didn't take her long to find it! She loves to stare at the lights while she feeds, burps, and while she is just sitting relaxing. I was trying to figure out what we were going to do once the Christmas tree comes down. I didn't want to completely take away the lights, but I didn't want to have Christmas lights strung up in the house all year.

My mom found this mobile and gave it to her for Christmas. We absolutely love it! I hung it up behind the chair so she can see it while she feeds and burps. When her eye catches it, she locks on and won't look away! Eventually I will put it up in her room so she can look at it while she tries to fall asleep.

This mobile is battery operated, which is the only downfall of it. I wish it was powered by plug-in so I won't have to worry about remembering to turn it off. And I would like to leave it on while she sleeps as a night light, but that would get expensive with batteries!

There are a total of 6 star bursts hanging from a thin wire string. The one I have is green, but it also comes in blue, white, and red. It would be great if the colors would change, but they don't. It is just a constant glow of green. The light is just enough to see what you are doing and would be great for a night light. The whole light is about 24 inches from the top to the bottom of the lowest star burst. It has about 8 extra inches of string for hanging also.
