Final Destination is one of those movie watching experiences I didn't expect. When i went to see this in the theater, I was on a date and neither of us had heard of this movie. We sort of guessed it would be more a romantic comedy than anything, but I was pleasently surprised by the beginning of the sequence.
Ali Larter and Tony Todd made the movie as far as I am concerned. Tony Todd's voice is enough to scare a zombie away, and the fact that he got the pleasure of telling stories about death having a plan and how disrupting that plan will eventually caused death to come full circle once again made it quite the frightening movie.
After the adult child star had the dream sequence at the beginning, I had absolutely no idea that the plane would explode. And then the death sequences just got better and better.
