I would recommend a Portable Booster Seat for those who have babies and are always going out with the baby. It is very efficient to have, especially in restaurants that don't have high chairs. But for this particular model, I have some problems with it.
I did not buy this seat, as my sister who has a baby and we live in the same house already bought one. But I know the price and where it was bought, so I put it up there. Anyway, it is very affordable at $30. And it is very convenient to use, too. It is 3-in-1, because it is a high chair, play chair, and booster seat in 1. It has three heigh adjustments, just in case the baby's fanny grows large, and three adjustments for the tray. This should be fine for a basic booster seat. But here are my problems.
My baby is slender. So cushions should be put around her even in the tightest adjustments. She is already 8 months old and slender so the straps are not enough to hold her. Sometimes, she would slide down the chair and only her head can be seen above the tray.
Additionally, there is no recline. That would have been a nice addition.
This is a very sturdy chair made of good quality plastic (I am not sure of the composition) however I think the straps are not that secure. They are very small and the clasps are not that strong in my opinion. One time my baby threw herself from one side to the other and she almost toppled the chair! And when she jerks her head suddenly, she would sometimes hit her head on the back rest because there is no cushion. Then she would cry.
Oh well, for its price, it has its pros and cons. But the child should never be left unattended in the chair. It is very dangerous, especially with the kind of child that I have. It is not so secure. Additionally, for me, it is not a playchair because it is not sturdy. It is just for eating and well, it enables us to eat for a while after she has had her meal.
