This MP3 Player (and FM Stereo Radio) has a lot of capacity and features.
It has an in-line volume and program control which will start, stop, pause, fast forward, and reverse. This control allows you to put the main unit in your pocket, purse, or backpack but still control the program.
The MuVo2 FM runs on a user replaceable 3.6 volt Lithium Ion battery and comes with an AC charger. A fully charged battery will last for about 14 hours. The FM reception is quite good.
You can use the MuVo2 as a digital recorder. The resulting WAV files can either be replayed on the MuVo2 or copied to your computer. This can be handy for storing conversations of detailed business meetings or phone calls. The recorder can record many hours at a time (and you can use Audacity to edit the resulting files).
One feature that differentiates this from many players is that it manages Digital Rights Managed (DRM) WMA files quite well (if you are using the correct version of Mediaplayer). I use my MuVo2 to play audio books from netlibrary.com.
The MuVo2 FM attaches to your computer with a USB cable (supplied). If desired, you can use the unit as a disk drive for transporting or backing up files (though this is not so compelling with the advent of cheap flash drives).
Though I have been quite happy with the MuVo2 FM, I have had it for 3 years (which is an eternity for consumer electronics). There may be some interesting alternatives available on the market now.
