Decker Need Black Lawn Garden

Hello to all, this is my first review here, and I will stsrt with a simple lawn edging tool. This one is made by the famous Black & Decker Company, it was bought for me as a gift, so I do not know how much was paid. I will try to upload a picture later.

The basic principle is this, there is a hand held casing, fed by a cable, leading down from this is a shaft which reaches the lawn. On the botton of the shaft is a gearing mechanism, which converts the spinning shaft rotation, into powering a set of blades, set at right angles, i.e. horizontal, level with the grass. The whole maching is very light, and runs on small wheels, it is kept up to the edge of the lawn by the operator, or "Driver". The edger is very easy to use, and gives that perfect edge to any lawn, offering that finishing touch that looks so good.

The construction materials consist of mainly very tough plastic, so no rust problems there, and steel gears and blades, with of course the electric motor. The cable is long enough for most lawns, and can be extended. The whole machine seems well balanced, and easy to keep clean.

After use, I wipe off all traces of grass and soil, and give the blades a quick squirt of WD40 to prevent corrosion. The edger is a few years old now, and shows no sign of packing in. I feel that I will be using this for many years to come. I do hope Shared Review will still be on the go then.

Thankyou for bearing with me on this review, I welcome any comments you may have, Good, Bad, or even Ugly. Thankyou. Take care.
